The annual Elderwise membership fee is $25.00. (Membership runs from September 1 through August 31 the following year.) You do not have to be a member of Elderwise to attend classes. However, paid membership entitles you to a 50% discount on class registration fees, participation in the Annual Meeting, voting privileges, and receipt of the Elderwise newsletters. As a member, you are also invited to bring a friend, free of charge, to one class session. We request that you call the office (734.929.9097) in advance to determine space availability in the selected class. Individuals who must be accompanied by a caregiver or assistant also should call ahead.
As a member of Elderwise we request you observe the following protocols:
Cell Phones: We ask everyone attending Elderwise classes to abstain from cell phone use while class is in session, and to set cell phones to “off” or “vibrate” mode.
Late Arrival: We make every effort to start our classes on time. We also ask those who are attending to minimize any disruption created by their late arrival.
Shared Space: As a community partner of Cleary University, Elderwise shares space and facilities in Cleary’s newly remodeled building. We ask our participants to respect the environment of this academic institution, and to observe minimum noise levels, especially in the common areas.
